About Epoxy Flooring Appleton
Epoxy Flooring Appleton coats concrete floors in homes and businesses across Appleton and the Fox Cities. Garages are most of our work. We also coat basements, workshops, pole buildings, small warehouses and commercial back rooms. The systems we install are epoxy, polyaspartic, flake broadcast and metallic finishes, and we decide which one fits after we have stood on the slab.
An Appleton floor has to put up with a long list of things. The city averages close to 50 inches of snow a year, January highs sit in the mid-20s, and road brine rides in on every tire from November to March. Much of the ground around the Fox Cities is heavy red lake clay that drains slowly, which matters for basement slabs. And a large share of the city's houses were built before 1980, so many slabs carry old paint, sealer, patches and cracks. Each of those changes how a floor has to be prepared.
The way we run a job
- We come out, measure, and look at the whole slab: cracks, scaling, oil, old coatings, drains and damp areas.
- We test for moisture on basement floors and on any slab that looks suspect.
- You get a written quote that lists the system, each coat, the prep work and the total price.
- On install day we diamond grind the concrete with dust collection, then fill cracks and pits.
- We apply the coats and give you clear times for walking, moving things back and parking.
- If we find something that changes the scope, we write it up and wait for your OK before doing it.
Our work is on concrete. We do not coat wood, tile or vinyl. If a slab has a problem a coating will not solve, such as water coming through a crack, a heaved section or a structural break, we say so at the estimate.
